Exercise, my psychiatrist told me, before admitting me to hospital, would do more for my recovery than all the medication and therapy put together.

I believed her, bought a pricey pair of Asics running shoes, and put them to use.

I came to love them – a symbol of my recovery. And before they finally fell apart, I commemorated them in this ink sketch.

About the T-shirt:
The cotton is thicker and heavier than some of my other T-shirts, but still soft and comfy. Double stitching on the neckline and sleeves add durability.
