Warning: video recording
If you prefer videos in which speakers smile, having shaved beforehand and brushed their hair – and stand up to speak to camera rather than sit on the floor holding an iPhone against the wall with their bare feet – well, I apologise in advance.
But the whole point of this site, and the talks I deliver, is about allowing yourself to be honest, and real.
So, take what you like from the video, and leave the rest.

If you found that interesting, and you would like to engage me to speak at your firm – well, you know where I am.
As every HR professional knows, there are many dates throughout the year designed to draw attention to mental health issues. I tend to be booked in advance for those – and recommend that you consider booking me for one of the many other days in between.
After all, poor mental health doesn’t arise only on special dates: it’s an everyday thing.
To give you an incentive to book me now, I’ll give you 25% off the usual fee.
All I ask is that you pay a £100 deposit immediately, and settle the balance before the event.
Fees
When I started doing talks in law firms, I was advised to charge £1000 each time.
But then somebody at a mid-sized law firm told me that this fee was “very reasonable”, and suggested I might raise my price (but not for her!).
In 2020, I’m raising my standard fee to £1400.
For that, you get an hour-long talk, in which I go into detail about a difficult time in my life. I use the drawings I made in hospital afterwards, but I don’t wave sketch books around, as in the video above. You’ll be glad to know I create a slideshow on PowerPoint.
This video gives a glimpse of the many drawings I made:

If you pay a £100 deposit now, I will reduce my fee by 25% so that the balance payable before the event will be £950.
“Very reasonable”, as the HR director said.
Thank you for watching / reading.
